McGough Construction on behalf of Becker County is currently soliciting bids for a new Highway Department Facility located east of Stony Rd and south of North Tower Rd in Detroit Lakes, MN. The project includes vehicle storage, maintenance bays, offices and site work. Bids will be received until Tuesday, November 16th at 1:00 pm. Invitation to Bid (PDF).
Construction improvements are scheduled to begin on Co Hwy 37 on Monday, August 16, 2021. Due to this construction, the roadway will be closed to through traffic from St Hwy 34 to the Shell Lake access. News release (PDF).

The Becker County Board of Commissioners approved an honorary road designation of CSAH 26 at their August 6, 2019 meeting. An 8.5 mile stretch of CSAH 26 in Becker County between Ponsford and State Hwy 34 will receive an honorary designation in memory of Seabee Force Master Chief James D.
