Healthy Families America is an evidence-based family support program where families partner with a public health nurse to help promote positive parent-child interaction, healthy infant and childhood growth and development and attachment, and life skill to build a strong family and support system.

Public Health Nurses work closely with families to provide the following information:

  • Pregnancy and postpartum care
  • Health and nutrition
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Ways to play with their baby
  • Infant and toddler care
  • Childhood safety and injury prevention
  • Family and community resources

This program is free and voluntary and is designed for pregnant moms and families with children birth - 3 years of age.

A public health nurse will visit with you and your family regularly with activities and materials to make parenting fun and meaningful.
